WARRANTY POLICY

Warranty Policy

Review the approved warranty scope, exclusions, claim information and support pathways for YHS furniture projects.

COVERAGE

Warranty Overview and Coverage

Warranty and support periods begin from the recorded YHS ex-factory date.

10-year coverage

The main YHS-manufactured furniture warranty is 10 years from the recorded YHS ex-factory date. It applies to verified defects in YHS manufacturing workmanship, main structural construction, and solid-surface seam or joint workmanship.

Adhesive is not automatically classified as a standalone third-party component warranty. If an adhesive or seam failure results from verified YHS manufacturing or YHS-performed installation workmanship, it is assessed under the applicable workmanship or seam warranty. Damage caused by third-party installation, site modification, chemical exposure, misuse, or unsuitable site conditions is excluded.

Third-party components

Hardware, lighting, and electrical or equipment-interface components not manufactured by YHS have a one-year warranty for verified component quality defects.

Within the first year, YHS will provide the appropriate replacement component without component charge for a verified component-quality defect. For misuse, installation damage, modification, or another non-quality issue, a replacement may be supplied at actual procurement cost. After the first year, replacement components may be supplied at actual procurement cost, plus applicable shipping or service costs.

Repair and technical support

YHS provides five years of repair assessment and technical support from the recorded YHS ex-factory date. This does not mean all damage, materials, labor, travel, or overseas site service is automatically free for five years.

If the issue falls within the applicable product warranty, it is handled under warranty. If it falls outside warranty, YHS may provide technical guidance, repair recommendations, replacement materials or components, or site-service options subject to actual cost.

LIMITS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Policy Limits and Project Responsibilities

Exclusions

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Intentional or accidental human damage
  • Natural external forces or force majeure
  • Misuse
  • Unsuitable cleaning chemicals
  • Impact or collision
  • Excessive heat
  • Unauthorized site modification
  • Third-party construction or installation
  • Work outside the YHS approved scope

Shipping damage and insurance

YHS arranges full-value cargo insurance for shipment according to the approved shipping arrangement. Transit damage is handled through cargo-insurance or transportation-claim procedures and is separate from the manufacturing warranty.

If transport damage is severe and the furniture cannot be reasonably or safely repaired, a remake may be required according to the confirmed insurance or claim resolution. If the damage is repairable and YHS is contracted for on-site installation, repair may be completed during the installation stage where practical.

If YHS is not contracted for on-site installation, YHS may provide repair guidance, appropriate repair materials, technical instructions, or another mutually confirmed repair solution. On-site labor is not automatically included in the standard warranty.

Installation responsibility

For projects installed by YHS, verified defects caused by YHS installation workmanship are covered within the applicable warranty or support scope.

For customer or third-party installation, site installation workmanship, site interfaces, field modifications, and maintenance of field joints or interfaces remain the responsibility of the customer or installation contractor. YHS can provide technical installation guidance and does not assume responsibility for third-party workmanship.

REMEDY & CLAIMS

Assessment, Claims and Response

Repair versus remake

Repair may be appropriate for minor cracks, localized surface or seam damage, and other damage that can be safely restored.

A remake may be required for severe main steel-frame damage, multiple structural fractures, or extensive damage that cannot be safely or reliably repaired. The final remedy depends on technical assessment of the actual damage; a remake is not automatic.

How to make a claim

Provide:

  • YHS order number
  • Clear photos
  • Video where useful
  • Written problem description
  • Delivery or receiving record
  • Available installation records for customer or third-party installation projects

YHS may request additional project information reasonably required to assess the claim.

Response time

On working days, the initial response target is within 24 hours. On non-working days or public holidays, the initial response target is within 48 hours.

This is an initial response target, not a guaranteed repair-completion time.

OVERSEAS SERVICE

Overseas Site Support

Separately quoted field service

Overseas on-site installation, repair visits, and other field service requiring YHS personnel travel are quoted separately.

Unless specifically included in the approved quotation or order, the standard warranty does not automatically include overseas travel, accommodation, visas, local transport, or unrestricted on-site labor.
