START WITH THE SERVICE TASK

Define the task.
Then the arrangement.

Information and airline service need different workspaces. A lowered service section can be integrated into either arrangement.

Information & Assistance

Keep the passenger approach and staff sightline open while leaving room to pass documents. Confirm any passenger-facing display or reader before placing openings.

Confirm: Approach + sightlines + document exchange

Airline & Baggage Service

Arrange staff devices, case documents and storage around the service task. Confirm printer access and privacy needs; baggage assistance does not imply a conveyor or weighing system.

Confirm: Service task + staff equipment + privacy

Lowered Service Section

Integrate a lowered section into an information or airline-service counter. Resolve the approach and clear space without losing staff access or required support.

Confirm: Integrated position + clearances + support

Review This Configuration

Lowered service sections and accessible clearances can be manufactured according to approved project drawings and applicable local requirements.

Confirm the service task before choosing the layout. A baggage-service counter is not a check-in or baggage-conveyor system.

PLAN BOTH SIDES OF THE COUNTER

Make room for service.
Keep equipment accessible.

Separate the document exchange area from the staff work zone. Check drawers, paper loading and service-door travel together before approving the counter depth and storage layout.

Service-counter interface concept. Equipment shown for coordination only.

  1. Document exchange + staff work

Keep a clear handover area beside the staff equipment. Confirm monitor positions and any passenger-side device so neither blocks the conversation or document path.

  2. Storage + drawer travel

Open drawers into the planned staff space, clear of knees and adjacent workstations. Confirm storage contents, access control and full drawer extension.

  3. Printer use + maintenance

Allow paper loading and printer removal with the service door open. Check that the door and pull-out equipment do not block staff entry or another drawer.

  4. Connections + clear space

Bring power and data to accessible connections outside drawer and knee space. Confirm entry positions and access for servicing before fixing the supporting assembly.

YHS supplies the counter, supporting assembly and agreed physical interfaces. Airline software, baggage tracking and airport equipment remain with the appointed suppliers; conveyors and weighing systems are not included unless separately agreed.

MODULE + PROTECTION

Split for the route to site

Plan long-counter splits around site doors, lifts and handling access. Confirm joint positions, module connections and protection of finished edges.
