AIRPORT / INFORMATION & PASSENGER ASSISTANCE
Custom Solid Surface Airport Information Counter
Keep the exchange clear. Keep the working side usable.
A custom solid-surface counter for information and passenger assistance. Coordinate the handover surface, staff equipment and storage as one working arrangement, then confirm the detail against the project drawings.
Working-side concept. Equipment, storage and hidden construction are project-specific; this is not a verified build of the reference product.

02 / REFERENCE + PROJECT
What stays defined. What follows the service brief.
DEFINED BY THIS REFERENCE
- Information-counter application
- Shown external counter form
- Custom solid-surface furniture scope
CONFIRMED FOR EACH PROJECT
- 01Overall geometry and staff positions
- 02Equipment, cable entry and access
- 03Document exchange and physical visibility
- 04Storage and panel opening space
- 05Lowered section, where required by the brief
- 06Finish, edges, joints and supporting assembly
- 07Module split, delivery access and site responsibilities
Use the shown form as a starting point. Define the working-side provisions in the project drawing.
A baggage enquiry service does not, by itself, define a conveyor or weighing interface.
03 / SPATIAL REVIEW
Confirm the footprint. Keep the work zones usable.
Check the frontage, service interaction area and staff clearances in the terminal layout before fixing dimensions.
Coordination schematic — not a dimensioned product drawing or verified construction record.
-
01Counter envelope
Confirm the frontage, depth, ends and passenger approach. Where space is restricted, compare the end geometry or frontage arrangement before reducing the required working clearance.
-
02Service interaction area
Reserve the surface and approach space needed for the stated service task. Locate any passenger-side device within that envelope without reducing the agreed handover area.
-
03Staff clearance
Check staff space with equipment and selected storage in their open positions. If the spaces overlap, compare storage location or opening direction before enlarging the whole counter.
-
04Lowered section — where required
Confirm its position and clearances against the project accessibility brief. Coordinate its support, equipment and adjacent storage without assuming a universal dimension or compliance result.
04 / WORKING-SIDE / HARDWARE INTERFACES
Make room for service. Keep equipment accessible.
Confirm how the specified equipment is used, connected and reached for maintenance within the agreed working space.
-
01Document exchange
Agree the handover position and any passenger-side equipment. Confirm fixing and connection access for those devices without occupying the exchange surface.
-
02Staff equipment
For each specified device, check operation, any paper-loading access and removal direction. Agree the access provisions needed; a monitor or printer is not automatically included.
-
03Storage opening
Open each selected drawer or cabinet door in the working arrangement. Confirm that access does not block neighbouring equipment or the agreed circulation route.
-
04Cable and maintenance access
Confirm cable entry and accessible connection points. Agree which panel or route reaches them after storage and adjoining furniture are installed.
-
05Screen and document visibility
Agree screen orientation and document placement from passenger and adjacent-position sightlines. Furniture provisions address physical visibility; data security and operating procedures remain separate.
YHS supplies the counter and agreed furniture provisions. IT, displays, communication equipment and airport systems are included only where expressly listed in the project supply scope.
05 / MATERIAL + SUPPORT
Keep the frontage. Resolve what supports the service.
Confirm the visible detail and the selected supporting assembly together. Equipment openings, storage and any lowered section must remain workable behind the approved frontage.
Coordination schematic — not a dimensioned product drawing or verified construction record.
-
Visible surface
Approve the material, colour, sheen, exchange edge and joint locations. Review a representative edge-and-joint detail where the design depends on those features.
-
Selected supporting assembly
Show the substrate, any required reinforcement and fixings on the furniture detail. Coordinate spans and openings while retaining staff clearance, storage and equipment access.
-
Joints and access provisions
Agree which joints are fixed, which panels are removable and how split modules reconnect. Keep fixing access clear of cable routes, drawers and service openings.
06 / CHANGE + CONSEQUENCE
Make each change a furniture decision.
Review what each proposed change alters in the drawing, supply scope and assembly.
-
01Service task and staff positions
Changing the service task or staff count can change work zones, equipment quantities and shared storage. Recheck access between positions before approving the layout.
-
02Frontage and end geometry
Changing a radius or end profile can alter working depth, support and joint positions. Compare the revised geometry with the design details to retain.
-
03Equipment and storage
Replacing equipment or reallocating storage can alter openings, support and access space. Review the new device information before carrying over the original detail.
-
04Document and screen visibility
Changing screen orientation or adding furniture screening can affect fixing, sightlines and the exchange area. Review the physical arrangement against the stated service task.
-
05Lowered service section
Adding a lowered section changes approach space, support and adjacent storage. Confirm the revised detail against the approved project brief and applicable requirements.
-
06Material, finish and joint
A proposed material substitution can change edge, joint or support details. Compare a representative detail and record the approved sample and drawing changes.
-
07Cable and maintenance provisions
Moving a cable entry can change internal routes and panel access. Confirm how connections remain reachable after the furniture and equipment are assembled.
-
08Module split and delivery
A new module split changes joints, fixing access and packing. Compare it with site access and the agreed assembly responsibilities before releasing the drawing.
07 / RELEASE + RECORD
Approve the detail. Keep one basis for production.
Align the quotation, furniture drawing and interface scope. Agree required checks and records before production release.
Compare the same furniture package.
Compare quotations on the same scope: counter units, specified supports, fittings and access panels, agreed samples or drawing work, packing, delivery and installation responsibilities. Identify equipment and site connections separately.
-
Counter drawing
Record the counter IDs, geometry, work zones, storage openings and agreed access provisions.
-
Finish reference
Identify the approved material and sample, including the visible edge and joint detail where required.
-
Equipment and scope schedule
List device models, furniture provisions, separately supplied items and responsibility for connections.
-
Module and delivery plan
Confirm the split, packed dimensions, site access and agreed assembly or installation scope.
-
Approved revision
Record the released drawing revision and subsequent changes. Confirm site differences before using it for another location or order.
