AIRPORT / SELF-SERVICE KIOSK HOUSINGS

Airport
Kiosk Housings

Start with the hardware.
Keep service access clear.

Custom solid-surface housings coordinated around the selected screen, reader, printer and internal hardware. Confirm mounting, cable connections, ventilation and service access before the enclosure geometry is approved.

PLACE THE EQUIPMENT FIRST

One housing.
A pair. A coordinated row.

Choose the arrangement around user approach, hardware depth and the maintenance route.

Single-housing arrangement concept.

Single Freestanding

Define the installed hardware space and maintenance side first. Confirm the base fixing and floor cable entry before setting the enclosure footprint.

Confirm: Hardware space + service direction + base

Back-to-back arrangement concept.

Back-to-Back Pair

Allocate internal space for both positions without conflicting service doors. Confirm removal routes, shared cable entry and each device's airflow requirements.

Confirm: Door travel + internal space + airflow

Coordinated Kiosk Row

Space units for passenger use and individual maintenance. Align each floor service point with the layout and confirm transport splits before connecting the row.

Confirm: Unit spacing + floor services + transport

Coordinated Kiosk RowSeveral housings follow one terminal layout.Unit spacing, service access to every housing, floor-service points and transport module splits.

The equipment defines the enclosure. Confirm device models and service instructions before approving openings or supports.

HARDWARE + SERVICE ACCESS

Plan the opening.
Plan the replacement.

Check the installed position and the removal path. Confirm connector clearance, replenishment access and panel opening space against the selected hardware drawings.

Kiosk interface concept. Equipment shown for coordination only.

  1. Mounting + removal

For each selected device, confirm brackets, fixing access and the route out of the housing. Allow space behind the installed unit for its connectors.

  2. Printer + replenishment

Where a printer is specified, check paper loading, output and jam access with the panel open. Confirm the clearance needed to remove the complete device.

  3. Cables + required ventilation

Keep cable paths clear of hinges and removable units. Coordinate inlet and outlet positions with the hardware supplier's heat and airflow requirements.

  4. Panels + base fixing

Check door travel against the wall and neighbouring units. Confirm locks, base fixing and the floor-service entry with the responsible installer.

YHS supplies the housing, supporting assembly and agreed mounting interfaces. Software, airport systems, device functions and complete-system certification are not automatically included in the YHS supply scope. Hardware is included only when expressly agreed.

VISIBLE SURFACE

Openings and removable joints

Coordinate screen and reader openings with the selected device drawings. Confirm panel edges, finish and removable joints without obstructing controls or access.

SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY

Mounts around service access

Position brackets around hardware loads, connector clearance and maintenance openings. Confirm fixing access and the removal route before closing the assembly.

MODULE + PROTECTION

Protect the enclosure for arrival

Protect projecting parts and finished panel edges. Confirm base handling, transport splits and the access and fixing conditions at the installation location.

Design concept

Approve the housing around the installed hardware and the route needed to replace it.

Start with the
hardware drawings.

The enclosure depends on the selected equipment and its service instructions. Send both with the proposed arrangement so unresolved access and connection requirements can be identified.

USEFUL FIRST INPUTS

  • Hardware models, dimensioned drawings and mounting details
  • Maintenance direction, removal path and consumable-loading access
  • Equipment heat and airflow requirements; power, data and floor entry
  • Unit quantity, spacing, site access and arrival assembly conditions

Partial information is welcome for an initial review. Final production details require coordinated approval.

Have the hardware drawings?

Send the hardware models and drawings with the layout. Include maintenance direction, consumables, ventilation and cable-entry conditions for an enclosure review.

WHAT THE REVIEW COVERS

  • Hardware envelope, mounts and connector clearance
  • Consumable access and device removal routes
  • Required ventilation and floor connections
  • Housing scope, transport splits and installation interfaces
