Straight staff run
A clear line of work positions with access from an end or the rear.
Confirm: Usable depth, staff entry and storage travel with positions occupied.
HEALTHCARE / NURSE STATIONS
Plan the staff workspace before the counter form.
Custom solid-surface nurse stations coordinated around staff positions, shared equipment, storage and access. Develop the working layout before fixing the frontage.

A clear line of work positions with access from an end or the rear.
Confirm: Usable depth, staff entry and storage travel with positions occupied.
A shaped frontage developed around the room and staff-side equipment layout.
Confirm: Inner radius, reach and usable equipment space before fixing the curve.
Connected work zones arranged around a shared staff bay.
Confirm: Return length, entry width and opposing drawer or panel openings.
Geometry does not define staff count. Plan positions, equipment and storage within the selected form; confirm module splits separately.
SELECTION MATRIX
| Starting layout | Start here when | Resolve first |
|---|---|---|
| Straight | Start here whenWork positions share a clear frontage and an end or rear access route. | Resolve firstTest occupied chair space and open storage together. If depth is tight, compare storage relocation or a different opening direction before enlarging the counter. |
| Curved | Start here whenThe room benefits from a shaped frontage and the inner working area can accommodate the equipment. | Resolve firstPlot devices and storage inside the curve. If space is insufficient, compare a revised radius or segmented front, then confirm material suitability and joints. |
| Return / wraparound | Start here whenAdjacent work zones need to share equipment around a staff bay. | Resolve firstCheck opposing openings and staff entry. Compare a shorter return, relocated storage or revised door handing before fixing the layout. |
WORKING SIDE
Review knee space, chair movement and the entry route with positions occupied. Move storage or revise the bay before adding overall depth.
Check normal use and removal of the selected device. Allow connector access and paper or consumable replenishment only where applicable.
Show drawers and maintenance panels open. Resolve collisions with chairs, nearby doors and the neighbouring position.
Review screen and document visibility from public positions. Keep agreed cable entry and service points reachable after assembly.
YHS supplies the agreed furniture package. Clinical equipment, IT systems and final service connections follow the named suppliers' scope.
MATERIAL AND SUPPORT
The illustration explains a support approach; it does not specify the construction of every nurse station.
Review the selected finish, edge and joint at working and exchange areas. Confirm material guidance against the facility's specified cleaning method.
Detail the selected substrate and any required reinforcement around spans and openings. Resolve support without consuming the agreed knee, storage or equipment space.
Place removable joints and fixings where agreed service points remain reachable. Check panel removal after adjacent units and room finishes are installed.
INITIAL REVIEW / PRODUCTION
Identify counter units, agreed supports and fittings, removable panels, sample or drawing work, packing, delivery and installation separately. Name provisional items, exclusions and alternatives before comparing totals.
For repeat units, record site and equipment changes against the approved reference; do not assume identical frontages mean identical internals.
